Closing Down Summer Activities

I have been a little busy lately and behind on my blog updates....Hope you enjoy what the Moore's have been doing for the last month or so !!

The Heat had a great season this year and even won quite a few. They came in second on one tournament, third in one tournament...And won the Championship game in another. The others....we won't go there as we really play some great teams out there.

This was the Tipton Tournament in which Tristen set a Tournament Record of 4 Homeruns (over the fence) He proudly displays the 4 balls.
This summer Tristen turned 8 ! Not only did that mean that he had two parties but he finally got to get out of his booster seat in the car. Isn't it the small things that we strive for?? Tristen had his friends for a party at Ben & Ari's for some putt putt. Let me tell you that you get a bunch of Baseball Players on a putt putt course and watch out !!! "Boys, this is not a baseball bat...keep is below your knees when you swing."

And round two of his 8 year old Birthday was dinner at Mudsocks Grille with the Family.
Oh yes...never far behind Tristen is his best buddy Cousin Palmer.
The Moore's took a little weekend getaway to Clifty Falls State Park and did hiking for two days. This was before we started. See the smiles and how happy we look?? Keep that thought....
This was the only Falls that had water and we were sweating to death so I thought I would jump in. Because we have been so dry here in the Midwest none of the Falls were flowing. It was a real bummer but we plan on going back in the fall.
To the left of the boys was this cool little tunnel that we went through given we took the "Extrenuous" Path since the sign had fallen and we didn't see it.
What a good looking couple...Tristen does pretty well with the camera.
Now this is where we took a really long break given our tour guide (Brian) had us on this trail that was to lead to the caves....lets just say that after an hour of hiking that we had to take the same trail back (yes the entire hour) Needless to say that Jenneth turns to us and says "This is the very last trail that I am taking and there will be no more exploring today." I have to say that at 3 years old she did darn good !!! Because of all the rocks we had to climb and trees to had to climb under is wasn't like we could carry her.
Here are the troops after day 1 of hiking....replenish !!!
We were bound a determined to eat on the water while we were there so we found this restaurant.
It turned out to be a great option for dinner as Jenneth ended up feeding her meal to the ducks and the fish.
We also celebrated Dad's Birthday at Incredible Pizza in Indy. The kids had a great time and I am not sure who this party was for...Grampa or the kids. Grampa was a good sport and watched them play their games.
How cool is that?? They have an air hockey table for kids.
When it comes time for cake and presents....Grampa always has plenty of helpful little hands.
We now move on to the true end of Summer......First day of School. Tristen's annual 1st of of school picture....Here we come 2nd Grade !! The two things that Tristen is most looking forward to in 2nd Grade is First Communion and Cursive Handwriting.
Now what would the end of Summer be without the start of Fall Sports?? Tristen is on the Colts this year and here is is at the Pass Contest in which he won !!
Ok sports fans...we have a new one for you this year. Jenneth is playing soccer. That is her in the pink shorts and green top. This is the first day of practice and the girl had a smile on her face from one ear to the other. Stay tuned for fun pictures and stories as I am sure there will be plenty to share.
