Legoland Florida

This is a perfect park for kids ages 4-12. Jenneth was just tall enough to ride the majority of the rides and Tristen was still interested. This is a park we would recommend and we are glad we took the day to do it.

I could have added a billion pictures of all the AWESOME Lego creatures and such...

Molly...we found the ultimate Carousel for you. Double Decker !!!
This was Jenneth's favorite ride and it was a twist on the old carnival ride where all cars are connected and they go up and down and in a circle. Too big a me !!!! She wanted to ride it a third time, but we couldn't do it.
Not sure who or what this Princess is, but Jenneth wanted her picture, so we took it.
Just one of those fun pictures.

This is the jousting ride that took FOREVER !!!!! But Jenneth liked it and Tristen humored her.

I just had to take this picture. Before they lowered the bar, they had everyone raise their hands and Brian couldn't see a thing. It really was quite funny.
And here are the boys up in the air....
This was a ride that I am not sure I would do again. It was a Test Track/Roller Coaster...and when you are way up high and taking these tight quick turns on those little circle tracks.....Yikes.
A great thing at Legoland. Each ride has an area of Lego tables for the kids to play with while the parents wait in line.
Oops, out of order. Here are the boys in that Test Track ride.
This is Boating School. Once you are out in the water you are truly driving this boat on your end. I rode with Jenneth and for the majority of the ride we were going backwards and doing bumper boats with other boats (not what you are supposed to do) I tried to help but got the "I can do it on my own !!!!!!"
This is the COOLEST ride ever !!! You are on these Jetski things that just go in a circle. What you do is pull your pod back and forth and when you go around the corners..you turn your wheel really hard and then it whips you out and feels that you are hitting waves. Jenneth went on this one with me and we only got to do two "whips" and then she was having no more of that.
There were 2 Ford driving schools. Here is Jenneth in hers.
Tristen's was just a bit more where they had an entire mock streets set up with Lights, Stop Signs, etc...It really was pretty cool.
This was the wooden roller coaster and Tristen and I sat in the front. It was Great !!!
Oh yeah...Hands up the whole way.
I should note that Tristen has come to love parent swap. He gets to ride the ones that Jenneth doesn't, twice. Here are the boys, and they got to ride in the back.
Here they are on the way back and they look pretty happy !!

Our child photographer is not so good, but here are Brian and I on the lounge chairs at the pool at night.
Here are the kids doing a little night swimming.

Relaxing on Spring Break

Today was a day for the kids and what was on their "to do" list. I am now sitting poolside while the kids are doing their night swim and updating our Blog. I am not sure what the difference is this year, but the kids have just been troopers and we have had a heck of time. Tomorrow is Legoland...stay tuned!!
So the first stop....The World's Largest McDonald's. I know your jealous ! They have a Bistro menu so Brian and I tried the Pastrami Panini and Chicken Quesadilla. I have to say that both were very good.
Julie, you and I cannot afford our Cokies here. $2.50 !!!!!
So after lunch we did some shopping and then of course what is a vacation without Putt Putt??

Jenneth got an honest to God Hole in One on this hole. The hole itself is below that little drop at the front of the picture....Not an easy one. I have to share our dinner fiasco tonight. We had researched two restaurants and had them loaded in the Garmin. We get to the first one and it is now an Arcade. So, we get moving along to the second....and can't find it anywhere. So we end up at Landry's Seafood. We are sitting at the table for 15 minutes and no one comes to say anything to us. I politely go to hostess stand ask for the manager and express that we are going to leave. So back on the road we go looking for something. We are now on this search for 1 and 1/2 hours. We do find a great Tavern that we eat outside and have a wonderful meal and great atmosphere. I have to admit that I was "this close" to just going through a drive thru and taking it back to the hotel.
On Wednesday we took a day to enjoy the hotel. We spent 6 hours at the pool at the hotel and had such a good time, that we all turned to prunes. We also did their putting course as Brian had researched the hotel and knew to bring the clubs.
As far as lazy rivers go, this was a great one. It was really long and not terribly crowded so you could truly relax in the water.
The slide was pretty scary for a hotel slide. The first half is covered and you can't see a thing. Jenneth opted out of this one.
This is from my lounge chair as I had Strawberry Margaritas. Why is it that they taste so good when you are lying next to the pool and someone is bringing them to you. Glad I only had two as later that day I found out they were $10 each. Brian on the other hand had brought his own mixers and every once in a while would go up to the Executive Lounge for the Cranberry, or Coke.
Is this the life or what?? After the first 4 hours I had the kids come out and dry off for lunch and you would have thought I told them we were never going to swim again !!!
Later that night we cruised around Downtown Disney and next thing we knew it was 10pm and we hadn't eaten dinner yet. Luckily Rainforest Cafe was still open !!

Sea World

SeaWorld was better than we expected. Brian and I had not been since our Honeymoon so we had no idea what to expect.

The first thing that we did was see the Shamu show. As you can see Brian and the kids wanted to be right up front in the soak zone. One splash of water and Jenneth was crying, so we moved up just a bit....

You can see Brian and Tristen down there in the yellow and red....WET !!!!!!!
Not a dry spot on these boys....but they said it was awesome!
Brian is in charge of doing any spinny rides, so he got to do this thing and....
these tea cups that sping as they go up in the air. Not for me. I made...I mean "took" the kids on the roller coasters. I had to bribe Jenneth with Cotton Candy to ride the Shamu Express...and of course she loved it. Some times a health "push" is good right ????
The String Ray pool was cool...those little suckers are so slimy.
And here is how my children touched the Sting Ray...with their eyes. Those kids don't know what they are missing.
Oh no....the kids have been eating by a Great White Shark !!!!
And here we have the second bribe of the day to get Tristen to ride Atlantis. This time it cost me a stuffed Buluga Whale, but it was so worth it. This is Tristen and I after the ride and see....we lived.
And Brian with the kids on some other spinny ride....Great Day at SeaWorld !!!
