What a great day at KSC !!! I will admit that a little of "Lunney" came out in me as I told the kids just a few times of when Cha Cha and Aunt Pam took me when I was a kid. By the way Cha Cha, we saw your "Doppleganger" this morning at our hotel and Brian was convinced that it was you....
And here we have the traditional front entrance picture.
Jenneth was taking Brian on a little ride on one of the Rovers.
Ok...so people looked at me all crazy as I laid down on the ground to take this picture, but I have to say it looks cool and as Honey used to say, "I don't owe them any money, so I don't care what they think."
Jenneth and I shaking hands with one of the Robots at Robot Scouts.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITY !!!!!!!! Jenneth not too sure of the guy, so Brian had to hold her.
Ok, so you know how you have a childhood memory and you want your children to experience it? Well, my kids suffered the Space Ice Cream search. During the bus tour that we took I looked at the gift shops..(ALL OF THEM) for this freeze dried stuff that I had when I was a kid and I could not find it anywhere. All I could find was this tiny tube of Astronaut Ice Cream Drops. Seriously !!!!! So I bought the kids these stupid $5.00 tubes of dots and was just totally bummed about it. At the end of the day I am talking to the guy in the last gift shop and asking him and he says "You mean the stuff that we've had for the last 30 years???" And I say "YES, that is exactly what I want" So this is the picture of the kids trying their Freeze Dried in the vacuum sealed package ice cream and they say "different, but good."
Jenneth and I just hanging...
The boys with the Apollo 14 Capsule
This is our stop to see the Launch Pad...The kids not too happy that Mom made them climb the stairs to the top level......hey we came all this way, let's see it.
Not sure I would trust this group of Astronauts.
So Brian has this great idea for a picture and asks the three of us to do these crazy poses......this is how the picture came out as it looks like we are holding up the jet. (again more looks for Brian laying on the ground to get the picture.)
So here we are at the end of the day at our new home for the next 6 days....We have a great 2 bedroom suite...Mike and Sandy, yes that is Giordano's that Brian is showing you !!!
