Well, we made it in 20 hours from Noblesville to Cocoa Beach. It really should not have taken that long, but from 1am-3am we ran into the horrible storms that were stuck in the mountains of Tennessee and with the wind, hail, and sheer amount of rain both Brian and I had eyes glued on the road going about 30 mph for those 2 hours. And add Tristen in the back seat with "Mom, where are the tornado's? Are we close? Dad, slow down." Jenneth on the other hand missed the entire event. Granted I should also mention that it truly rained the entire time.
Ok, so not the greatest looking bunch but we literally checked into the hotel, dropped out bags, put on the suits and out to the beach. We had a great surprise that our room turned out to be at the end of the building facing the ocean.
And here we are digging the biggest hole that you can imagine.....
Jenneth and Tristen had a great idea to bury everyone....
Mom and her little boy in the water. You could walk out forever with the tide. (Tristen and Jenneth wanted to make sure that Nana and Grampa know that they saw their cruise ship at the dock as well as going out to sea. Jenneth says, "Why didn't Nana and Grampa take the Disney Cruise line..it was right there and we could have gone with them?"
Jenneth, Daddy's little girl as she would not let go of his hand the entire time as she was afraid that the big waves would get her like they did Bubby in Myrtle Beach. (I mean seriously !!!!) You flip a kid in a kayak and they never let you live it down.
So I had a mission to eat on the beach and outside. Brian found us a great restaurant that offered it all. As you can tell from this picture the peanut gallery was not happy. As the sky is getting very dark, the beach is being cleared by the police on 4 wheelers and the other people eating outside are leaving. So I suggest that we go inside and eat as the kids are wining that they are cold and their food is blowing away with the high winds. Brian says it will just blow over and if we wanted to go somewhere like LJS, then he would have taken us there. I just give the kids one of those looks..(I know, but when we are all soaked then we can ask Dad if this is still just going to blow over) So when the sky opens up and all of a sudden we have the staff at Coconuts picking up our plates and saying they have a table inside for us. So we sit down at the table and I say "This is great that we get to experience both inside and out so everyone is happy!!!!)
